Company History
Our company was founded by Edwin C. Kauffman Sr. three years after his service
with the U.S. Navy was completed at the end of World War II. The first large
commercial accounts were secured with Borg Warner and Caterpillar in the
late 1960's. His son, Edwin C. Kauffman II joined the firm as a field employee
in 1972 and was made partner in 1978 upon completion of a B.S. degree from
York College in Business Management. WRR incorporated in 1985 and began to
grow in size quickly from sales of $500,000 per year to $6.5 million in sales
by 1999. Frank Heberlig joined the firm in 1985 as Vice President with 17
years of construction experience and a B.S. degree in Accounting and Business
Management from Shippensburg University. Dave Carley joined the firm in 1989
as chief estimator and project manager with 15 years of construction experience
and a Vietnam Service Medal awarded him by the U.S. Navy. Our field foremen
have been with us for an average of 15 years with very little turnover
experienced with our skilled roofing mechanics. We average 30 fields employees.
In 1999 we secured the biggest job in our company's history, a 1.5 million
square feet project in Denver, PA for Clark Construction (the ACME/Albertsons
Distribution center//Cold storage and freezer).
WRR specializes in large distribution centers, cold storage and the food
service industry, and phenolic foam replacement and deck repair. WRR will
do any commercial roofing project regardless of size. Our work area is from
PA to Texas, where ever our clients need our services.
